  • Too many ads
  • Decent gratification

Design

The design of the World Series of Poker game is one thing that stunned us! Of all the poker and casino games we played, this one was unique in its design department. The design of the game on its website and mobile app is great. The game has a base color scheme of blue and a shade of purple with glitters. Pictures and animation used in the game are very apt and would attract users to play more. The graphics were also clear, but one thing that disturbed us was a crowded screen with a lot of text in smaller fonts that could distract the player. All in all, the design is good, and the sound complements the overall game.

User Experience

The World Series of Poker game uses good software and provides clean gameplay. The transitions used in the game are pretty good too, and we didn’t experience any major lags despite a few here and there. The game is responsive. The thing that derailed our experience was the pop-up ad. After a certain point in time, there were just too many ads popping up after every game and significant transition. The ads are mostly about in-game purchases or promotions, which is still okay. The game, however, provides a good user experience.

Games

World Series of Poker has two major games to offer – Texas Hold’em and Omaha. There are different tournaments players can participate in. When you enter a game, you immediately enter a room with players already present in the game, you wait until your turn comes, and then you play with other players. As we have mentioned earlier, the game could get a bit distracting because of the small texts at the bottom of the screen. The animation is also simple and adds to the whole gaming experience. The Texas Hold’em game is much better than the Omaha Poker, in our view.

Gratification

The gratification that the game provides is good until you eventually get the money into your account. The game has options to deposit and withdraw money through Paypal, Credit/Debit Cards, and other payment modes. While the game claims that transitions are safe, we felt that withdrawing money is harder. The game has decent bonuses to offer like the sign-up bonus, win bonus, and tournament bonus, which could hardly make any difference. Some players have reported that they get less money than the amount that they originally tried to withdraw.

AppHuke’s Verdict

An above-average online poker game with great design quality and above-average UI/UX. The fact that games like these have many ads popping up here and there could make it a bit irritating. The games are also good, and the gratification is also decent.
