Design

The design of this live quiz app is average with the use of really small icons (even when compared to the average size of icons and text visible on the mobile phones) and here, the labels to switch between different games. Also, the designers had enough space on the app to make the buttons easily readable for the gamer and to improve the user experience.

User Experience

Explanatory steps when you start the app for the first time are a big welcome so that the user can easily understand the platform. This should be a common practice but sadly it isn’t. However, it makes the user journey better since the user doesn’t have to explore the app first to understand what certain sections are meant for.

Monetization starts right from the signup page and the app keeps popping up random ads almost every few clicks, making it frustrating for the user. But, they are shown every time you want to toggle between the sections in the app. However, it spoils the entire experience and wants to make the user exit the app at the earliest. We understand the need for businesses to monetize the apps but to do it to this extent was completely superfluous. But, this app does not give you any bonus coins, and to play your games, you’ll have to earn them by watching videos. This is appalling!

Almost all the games on the Qureka are quiz-based and feel really boring. After a while of playing those games, you start feeling like you’re in school and preparing to appear for an exam. Also, it has some of the most basic games like multiplication and subtraction which makes us wonder if at all proper consideration was done before these sort of games were introduced on the app. Here, the game has 3 wallets- game (for winnings), referral, and coin (joining bonus) wallet which will make it easy for the user to understand their earnings.

Gratification

There are too many entries for one game and the prize money is too small. But, it all comes at the cost of torturing yourself by watching al those videos.
